Sam Gerlando

I am a National Honor Society student with a 3.64 GPA and I’m currently enrolled in the International Baccalaureate program at Algonac High School (Algonac, Michigan.) I play for Detroit Compuware 18U AAA, based in Plymouth, Michigan. I was invited and competed in the USHL combine last year. I’m a 6’1 center, very good defensively, and unselfish. I move the puck well on the break out and in the offensive zone. As a center, I am strong in the face off dot, where I was the top 1 or 2 for us last year (16U Compuware AAA) and this year (18U Compuware AAA). I play a physical game in the corners, and in front of the net. I was used mostly as a defensive player last year, playing on the number one PK unit. This year I am getting time on the PP and I’m currently 6th on the team in points.
