What is your personal goal in your hockey career?
- My personal goal in my hockey career is to play professional hockey. The dream would be the NHL. With a minimum goal of playing college hockey while working on a degree. I feel if I can get the great experience of being part of a college hockey team/family while taking classes and graduating, I will be successful with the goals I have set for my hockey career.
How would you describe your playing style and/or what role do you see yourself fitting on a team?
- I would describe my playing style as technical and aggressive. I like to mix the playing technique that I’ve been taught with my natural athletic ability, experience, and confidence I have in the net. I believe this will help me continue to be a great goalie. I feel it’s important for me to be a role model on and off the ice for the team. I never want my teammates to feel defeated. I feel the team will have more confidence in me if they have respect for me on and off the ice. The more confidence they have in me will make them more confident on the ice and provide us with the best chance to win and a great confident team.
If professional hockey player is not an option, what would you want to be when you grow up and why?
- I would like to be an ER Doctor. Regardless if professional hockey works out for me or not, I see it as a great fit for my personality. I like the idea of facing new challenges every day. Every patient. I see myself enjoying the continuous fast-paced environment. Especially under stress. Which I know I handle well. Plus the flexibility of the schedule. And on top of all that, I get to help people when they need it most. So I’m setting that as a goal and if that doesn’t work out, it will leave a lot of doors open for my future. From an orthopedic sports doctor/surgeon to a medical rep.
