Player Bio

My name is Dylan Rodgers I’ve played hockey since I was 8 years old. I played roller hockey until I was 12 and decided to play Ice hockey with the 2007 Timber Wolves and the 2007 Big Boy hockey teams. I then moved on to play for the varsity Eisenhower hockey team my sophomore year of high school. I always wanted to move to the next level and that’s why I joined the high school team. I balance school, practicing, and training at home and in the gym on days I don’t have practice. I don’t work during the winter season, but during the rest of the year I also work two jobs while playing hockey for the summer and fall season. During 2022-2023 season on the Eisenhower hockey team, we won the Mac Red Championship. It was the first time I’ve won anything that important and me and my team plan to do it this season again and go even further. I was the captain of the 2007 Big Boy hockey team and I’ve always wanted to be a leader even without a letter on my jersey. I strive to play the game aggressive and play the body in order to keep the game in the other teams zone as much as possible, and still create offensive plays to win the game. My parents and brothers and my best friends have influenced me and supported me my entire hockey career. My past coaches, coach Matt, coach Aj, coach Dave, and coach Hall have all pushed me to where I am now. They each have contributed to how I play the game and I wouldn’t be here without them. In my spare time when I’m not playing hockey, I’m either working at one of my two jobs or hunting and fishing. I work at a tire company and I paint truck wheels for construction vehicles and I’m also a banquet hall server. I’ve always loved the outdoors and grew up on hunting and fishing my whole life. Finally, I am responsible, I strive to be a leader, and it is important to me to be a team player.
