Meet the Coach
Matt grew up in Washington Township, Michigan playing for Honeybaked, Belle Tire and Little Caesars. He ended up winning the 2000 Quebec International Pee-Wee Hockey Tournament with Honeybaked. He then began his amateur career playing in the North American Hockey League with the Texarkana Bandits earning a place on the Second All-Star Team, the All-Rookie Team, and winning the NAHL's Rookie of the year. Matt played all 4 years for Providence College with a selection to the Hockey East Second All-Star Team as a junior. Taormina went on to have a 10 year professional career as an undrafted free agent. During that time he was awarded the Eddie Shore Award in 2016-17 for the AHL's outstanding defenseman and First-Team All-Star and was a 5 time AHL All-Star. Matt is entering his 5th year as a head coach in the Honeybaked organization.
Session Description
Defensive specific skills and game situational flow drills, these skates will help hone your game in areas that team practices can't focus on. Video included with clips for specialists access for visual training and yearly improvement.
